We have had community members at Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina, Ohio, test positive for COVID-19, commonly known as Coronavirus. We have not had any cases at our Springfield or Browning Masonic Community campuses. Our direct care staff in those areas are wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including N95 masks and gowns. We have also taken additional steps to ensure staff do not cross-over from one care area to another.
We have had a “Pandemic Plan” in place since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic to ensure the safety and health of all of our staff and community members. We are working closely with the Medina County Health Department. We will continue to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and protocols to minimize the exposure of staff members, community members, and clients. Those who have interacted with these persons have been contacted one-by-one, and are being monitored according to the plan. We understand that this situation is scary, but, please know that we have a plan in place and are doing everything we can to keep our community members and staff members safe.
All community members and staff have been given regular updates regarding this ongoing pandemic. We know this is a challenging situation, but this is what we have worked so hard to prepare for. We will get through this together and we will persevere.
