We have had our first probable case of COVID-19, commonly known as Coronavirus, at our Springfield Masonic Community campus in Springfield, Ohio. This individual is under self-quarantine and is currently not on our campus. We have remained in contact with this team member and the Clark County Health Department will be checking with this team member on a daily basis as well.
Please note the term probable does not mean a confirmed positive test result. For a complete definition of “probable,” click here to view the definition from the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists Infectious Disease (Section VII, A1 – A3).
We have had a “Pandemic Plan” in place since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic to ensure the safety and health of all of our staff and community members. We will continue to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and protocols to minimize the exposure of staff members, community members, and clients. Those who have interacted with this individual have been contacted one-by-one, and are being monitored according to our plan.
All community members, staff members, and family members have been given regular verbal and written updates regarding this ongoing pandemic. We have worked so hard to prepare for this terrible virus and understand how challenging this situation is. We will get through this pandemic together and will persevere through it.
