COVID-19 Update

As of today, we do not have any probable or confirmed cases at any of our campuses. Please see below for a COVID-19 update from our Browning Masonic Community Campus:

“Greetings BMC Community Members and Families,

At this time we continue to have zero community member or staff COVID-19 cases!
The State of Ohio has begun to follow the re-open plan as outlined by the Federal Government. There have been several inquiries as to when we think visitation will resume for Senior Living Facilities.

According to the “Opening Up America Again” guideline that won’t happen until Phase Three. Phase Three returns all employers to normal staffing, it allows for movie theaters, gyms, and bars to return to their normal function with limited social distancing. This means that the world in general for the most part would have to get back to “normal” before visitation resumes at Senior Living Communities. The states are using this as a guideline, Ohio is currently somewhere between Phase One and Phase Two.

We will continue to take our lead from the Governor DeWine and Dr. Acton. One of the very first orders limited the visitation to Senior Living Communities. We anticipate that order to be one of the last that is lifted. I know this is not what anyone of us wants to hear. However, the senior population is most impacted by this virus.

Due to the order limiting staff in Senior Living Communities we will not be able to open our Beauty Shop on May 15th. I know this is frustrating for everyone involved. As soon as we are able to, we will restart this service.

On a brighter note, yesterday was we continue to celebrate each day with our residents and staff in ways that respect social distancing.  This week residents and staff celebrated national apple pie day with homemade fry pies shipped same day from Ohio Amish country.  We have also taken time to raise appreciation for our nursing staff this week through daily gifts and words of appreciation.  Those who live here are also enjoying bingo from the hallways and Browning Trivia through our touchtown internal TV.  Please let us know if you are looking to communicate with family using Facetime, skype or zoom and we will get you a device so this can happen. We appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and understanding.”
