Campus Update (WRMC)

WRMC Community Members and Families,

We recently shared we would be testing all of our staff through the State of Ohio’s National Guard COVID-19 testing program. We tested 177 employees on July 31, 2020 and the last of our results came in overnight.

One test came back inconclusive and we are retesting that particular team member today. There are several reasons why a test could be inconclusive such as a contaminated sample or bad test. This employee is a college student and has not worked for us in sometime. If the retest comes back positive, there is zero chance of community member exposure.

The other 176 tests all came back NEGATIVE!!!

Going forward our employees will all be tested in a two-week rotation through the National Guard. Our next testing date has not been scheduled, but, we anticipate it to take place in the third week of August.

This week we reported to the Ohio Department of Health that we had a one clinical staff member who while on vacation developed signs of COVID-19 and then tested positive. This team member had not been on campus for more than five days prior to the start of their symptoms.

In accordance to CDC and Health Department guidance, persons are contagious up to 48 hours prior to showing signs or symptoms. Therefore, there was no exposure to any community members or other staff members in this case.

We will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health in regards to COVID-19. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly.
