Campus Update (WRMC)

WRMC Community Members & Families,

On Monday we performed rapid response testing for all staff and vendors with all staff and vendors testing negative for COVID-19. Yesterday we tested all vendors and staff and 1 Nurse who works in Skilled Nursing and Traditional Assisted Living has tested positive. We have collected a pcr test and are awaiting those results from our partner laboratory.

Yesterday, we tested all Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Traditional Assisted Living community members using rapid response tests. We had 1 Pathways Memory Care community member test positive. The resident and their family member were informed of the results prior to this call. The community member has been placed under self-isolation protocol and is asymptomatic at this time.

Medina Counties positivity rate has increased to 28%. Due to this and several other COVID related factors IL visitation will remain suspended.

We are scheduled for the vaccine clinic through Walgreens on December 30th, for those staff members and Skilled Nursing community members who have chosen to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine. Our nursing leadership team has spoken with all Skilled Nursing residents and responsible parties in regards to the vaccine and the necessary consents.

We were informed that our Assisted Living community members will be able to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine on January 12th. Walgreens will again be vaccine clinic provider. Our nursing leadership team will start contacting our Assisted Living residents and responsible parties next week to discuss and receive consents for the COVID vaccine.

At this time we have no information in regards the availability of the vaccine for our Independent Living residents. The delivery of the COVID vaccine is controlled by the State of Ohio. We will communicate any changes as to its availability as soon as possible.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
