Browning Masonic Community located in Waterville, Ohio, is one of three premier lifestyle communities campuses owned and operated by The Ohio Masonic Home (OMH). Nestled on 450 scenic acres along the Maumee River, Browning Masonic Community is a not-for-profit organization offering beautifully appointed garden villas and apartments, with support that adjusts to its residents’ changing needs through a full spectrum of healthcare services. The organization is home to 105 residents and employs a dedicated team of 75 staff members.

Reporting Relationships

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Clinical Services is responsible for adhering to Ohio health and assisted living regulations, as well as the mission of OMH and all organizational policies. (S)he will provide leadership to the clinical team; direction and coaching to the nurse supervisors; ensure RNs, LPNs and RAs are fully trained to care (and document this care) for campus residents. As overall leader of the clinical team, the Director of Clinical Services represents the campus in all meetings involving residents, family, community and corporate dealings (including PCC). (S)he must be available to communicate 24/7 with team.

The Director of Clinical Services will assist the Executive Director in the successful pursuit of the organization’s strategic mission. (S)he will directly supervise the Unit Manager of Assisted Living and ultimately their assigned team of nurses and nursing assistants, as well as acts as the direct supervisor of the Pathways unit nurses and nursing assistants. In accordance with company objectives, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities also includes assigning, and directing work; appraising staff performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience

· Must have graduated from an accredited school of Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing

· Five or more years of nursing experience

· 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a direct care setting

Licenses and Registrations

· Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
